Halloween is just right around the corner and if you’re like me, it may have crept up on you! Since the time is drawing near for everyone to don fun costumes, I thought I’d share with you some last-minute ideas inspired by our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood! Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet are such iconic and classic characters, so they make great candidates for putting together some easy pieces you probably already have in your closet or could find in season from your favorite retailers! I took lots of inspiration from their coloring in the movies as well as the textures and patterns and tried to incorporate pieces that mimic fur and their other unique attributes!
Shop Pooh’s Look!
For this silly old bears look I just layered a red cropped sweater with an overall dress that is that perfect Pooh yellow! What really makes this look sweet as a smackerel of honey is the addition of some little Pooh ears and a travel balloon (everyone needs one!) If you need something to carry all of your important things, like more honey, then you can take an old cross body and give it new life by painting the word “hunny” on it! This outfit is sure to be Pooh approved!
Shop Eeyore’s Look!
When it comes to last-minute costumes, sometimes you have to get creative with what you have! For everyone’s favorite ball of sadness, Eeyore, I incorporated his tail detail by just clipping a pink hair bow onto the strap of some grey overalls! This layered with a fuzzy grey and black sweater and some black tassel earrings will even have the Heffalumps admiring your look as you run away! And yes, I was very pleased that the sweater looked a lot like his fur! Thanks for noticin’ (me.)
Shop Tiggers Look!
The wonderful thing about Tigger is that he has such striking features to work with when it came to creating a look for him! A simple orange striped t-shirt dress paired with an orange faux fur jacket make it terrific for jumping house to house for treats! To really make this even more like the one and only Tigger, I wore some furry pompom ears and cool green glasses since he has such green eyes in the movie! You can say TTFN (Ta-ta for now) as you bounce right out of the house in your Tigger-ific getup!
Shop Piglet’s Look!
Everyone’s favorite acorn lover, Piglet, boasts such a sweet and cozy look for Christopher Robin that it made it was a true delight to throw together some pieces for my interpretation of his costume! These pieces are probably already in your closet and if they aren’t then have no fear on splurging on them because they make such snuggly staples for the fall/ winter season! This knit sweater paired with a corduroy skirt and pink tights really give you the look and texture of Piglet in the movie! To make it a complete costume, just add some Piglet ears and a burgundy scarf! You can also include a little basket with some acorns to add that extra thoughtful touch!
I so loved putting these looks together! Pooh and all his friends are some of my absolute favorite characters and they mean so much to me for so many personal reasons! I’m very excited to do more themed looks like these in the future for more Disney movies coming out! (DUMBO!! ALADDIN!!!)
Thank you guys so much for the continued love and support you show me! You’re helping my dreams come true!
Hope you liked my looks; I can’t wait to see yours this Halloween season!
Disney’s Christopher Robin comes out on Digital and Blu-ray Nov 6.
Until next time…
