Living in Orlando, there’s so many options when it comes to date nights, but one thing Dylan and I had been wanting to do for the longest time was to have a sweet & simple picnic. I love this idea, because like my movie date night, it’s something anyone can do no matter where you live! We took advantage of the mild weather we had been having and set out to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort to take in the beautiful sights and atmosphere of what is my favorite resort on Disney property. I love spending time at the resorts because they don’t require park admission and what makes The Boardwalk stand out is its various eateries, sideshows, photo booths, carnival games, gift shops, and my favorite —Ample Hills Creamery! All of it can be enjoyed by a leisurely stroll down the boardwalk so it definitely makes for a romantic night.
The Boardwalk also boasts a huge lawn where movie nights are held for resort guests and encourages playtime for kiddos, and lounging for everyone else. This lawn is where we chose to enjoy our double date picnic with out friends Phillip & Kayla! We had ample space to spread out with our blankets and baskets and had such a pretty view too!
Wine Bar George, located in Disney Springs, so kindly gifted us their picnic basket service for this date and we absolutely loved how easy it made it on us and how sweet their staff was when it came to putting our perfect picnic basket together!
Their basket service and location, connected to their main restaurant, is called The Basket and you can create your own by picking from their menu of savory, sweet, and impeccable wine offerings by simply walking up to the order window! It’s super easy and then you just take your basket where ever your heart desires to enjoy!
For our basket, we enjoyed some delicious sandwiches, small bites of cheese, crackers, honey, Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites (highly recommend), cookies, and Rosé! They also had some Sugarfina candies that you could include in your basket! We loved the Champagne Bubble gummies!
To finish off our date night, we stopped into Ample Hills for some ice cream! My flavor of choice is Nonna D’s Oatmeal Lace! We the had the bright idea of Dylan, Kayla, Phillip, and I cramming into a photo booth to capture some photos to remember this day by. We definitely had to squeeze in there which was a comical sight, but it was oh-so-fun.
If you’re looking for a romantic, one-on-one experience with your SO, I love the idea of getting a basket from Wine Bar George, letting them do all the work, and you just focus on having a sweet time with your love! And if you’re able, definitely consider having it at Disney’s Boardwalk!
For my outfit, I definitely wanted to play off the picnic theme, my love for gingham, and still tie in the Valentine’s Day theme! For that I used a few things I already had and a couple new pieces that I bought to refresh my wardrobe for Spring and Summer!
It was a little chilly this day, so this pop of yellow in my denim jacket not only kept me warm, but made me feel like a ray of sunshine! I wore a sweet peplum gingham top underneath that can be carried through outfits all summer long. I finished it off with my go-to boater hat, Mickey earrings, some skinny jeans, converse sneakers, and the star of the show was this incredibly festive and perfect Mickey and Minnie Mouse backpack that features these two love mice enjoying a picnic of their own! It doesn’t get any more perfect than that as far as accessories go!

I so hope you can take this date night and outfit inspo and spin it into your perfect evening with the one you love! If you do, I’d love to hear all about it! And if you happen to pay Wine Bar George a visit for their Picnic Basket service, be sure to tell them I sent you!
Until next time…
