If you read my last blog post on my favorite budget friendly lipstick, then you know I’m not biased and certainly have more than one “favorite red” lipstick for many different reasons— I even have another high end lipstick I plan to talk about and review in another post coming soon— but what makes them a favorite depends on many factors: color hue, formula, wearability, staying power…
If I’m talking about which lipstick I wear the most, then it would have to be Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color in shade Uncensored.
I started using this lipstick in December of 2017 and since then it has become my go-to for basically everyday. It’s always my first consideration when picking a red and it’s just such a joy to wear. What I love so much about this lipstick is that it’s that perfect shade of red that is absolutely flattering on any skin tone. Fenty Beauty impressed many when their line launched for their impressive shade range and inclusivity of all types of people. This lipstick is one that I feel everyone can wear and that’s why I decided to talk about this one before another high-end favorite I have.
What’s hard to describe about why I initially liked this lipstick is how it made me feel… When I first started wearing Uncensored, I loved the shade of it and how it paired with my skin tone. I always just felt so beautiful in it and that to me is how beauty product should make you feel. Obviously, this is just my opinion and my feelings on it so…
Let’s talk specs!
The Stunna Lip Paint line is priced at $24 at Sephora. This is a little more pricey, but I’m a firm believer that if a product is good, it’s worth the splurge! You could always give this a little swatch test at the store too if you wanted to get an idea of what it’s like before buying it!
The consistency of the Lip Paint itself is more so watery and very pigmented which was a very different feeling for me at first. It took me a couple tries to realize that applying too much pressure when putting it on would be too much and would caused more product to be applied than desired or needed.
A little goes a long way with this product. One thing that I always think about when applying this is the scene from Mulan when they so effortlessly apply her lipstick in one swift, fluid motion and don’t have to dip back in for more. The same can be said for the Stunna Lip Paints. I always scrape off the excess on the wand because it isn’t needed to cover my lips.
It lasts on the lips for 12+ hours with no need for reapplication or touch-ups. Bold claim, right? I definitely wouldn’t just believe that statement unless I tried it for myself. It’s true though!! In all the times that I’ve worn this lipstick since December of 2017, I have never had to reapply to touch-up this lipstick— and it really does last all day.
Stunna Lip Paint is described as a soft matte formula. This means that while it has a matte finish, it does not dry completely on the lips which means it isn’t kiss proof. There will be some transfer when eating or drinking, but impressively enough, it doesn’t wear off the lips. I personally like this about the formula because even though I prefer not to have transfer, the fact that doing so doesn’t make it wear off means it’s extremely comfortable on the lips and not the least bit drying. It’s basically the best of both worlds.
Like I mentioned before, this red is a very beautiful hue that leans towards the more blue reds I prefer and really does look flattering on everyone.
Some drawbacks/ things to consider…
My only personal issue with this lipstick is that after several hours of wear, it does start to feather out from the lips ever the tiniest bit. This is more a minor annoyance than anything and it’s something I quickly fix by taking my knuckle and just smoothing out to make less noticeable around my lips.
This may not be the lipstick for you if transfer is an issue. It does not completely dry, so just keep that in mind.
It takes a little practice with the consistency to get just right with application when first using it. The watery-ness of this formula is amazing but comes with a learning curve. Just keep a steady hand and commit to the shape your painting on your lips. Since I’ve used it for so long now, this isn’t an issue for me anymore, but definitely something to keep in mind if you haven’t.
The Stunna Lip Paints come in several colors if red isn’t your thing! I’m just hoping they make even more colors because I can’t get enough of it!

I so hope you enjoyed this post! If you decide to give Uncensored or any of the other shades a go, definitely let me know! I would love to hear your thoughts and I hope you love it as much as I do!
Until next time….
